“What day is it?” asked Pooh.
“It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.
“My favorite day,” said Pooh.”

Neither titles, diplomas, references, nor awards are important to life. What is important is who we are as a person. And the only impact that might be valuable is the impact we have on others. Yet, we strive for titles, diplomas, references or awards. Why’s that the case? Because some of them act as filter mechanisms in a very noisy market. They help to be seen. They sometimes help to create ears to our voice.

Chris Hoiberg, owner of the renowned photography page CaptureLandscapes, recently published an article about the Most Inspirational Landscape Photographers in 2020. Amongst many of my friends, I am more than delighted to be mentioned in that outstanding list. Chris characterizes my work as follows: “If you are looking for a gallery to dive into for the next hours, look no further than René Algesheimer’s. I’ve repeatedly found myself browsing through his portfolios and it’s hard to find something not worth fallen in love with in his clean, minimalistic, and well composed imagery.”

This is a big honor! A humble thanks to CaptureLandscapes!
