Fugacity
“All I have to do is work
on transition and technique.”
Usain Bolt
| Sokrates once said that everything is in transition. As such, one should not be too happy in a sunshine condition, and not be too sad in a harmful context. I tend to disagree. If we normalize our emotions such that we almost always have an equilibrium, i.e. average level of feelings, how can we feel ourselves, how can we enjoy the beauty of our life, how can we feel that others are important to us, how can we learn from the situations we are in? Isn’t it the transitions that make our life such enjoyable? Because we know that it’ll be gone in a second. Every moment has its beauty and its message for us through which we grow. Transitions are therefore not only a given part in our life, they help us realizing the meaning of it all.
History seemed to have escaped the future. A snow blizzard collapsed into Huangshan, a mountain range in the Anhui province is eastern China. For the beauty of two days it covered the pine trees and granite peaks with frost and snow. The wind sculptured shapes of snow. The landscape was in transition between winter and spring, but also between tradition and future.
